Having won the RICS South East Award for Building Conservation, Dædalus attended the RICS Awards Grand Final held at the Savoy in London. Against a number of marvelous projects up and down the country, Ashdown House came Highly Commended in its category. The judges commented;

"The beautiful architectural finesse of Ashdown House, one of Britain’s finest 17th Century Buildings, is once more complete. Following arduous research and attention to historic detail by Architects Rodney Melville & Partners and the enormous effort and skill of Dædalus Conservation the building will continue to enchant visitors to the National Trust property for generations to come."

First place went to Porthmeor Artists' Studios in St Ives for its transformation, which will allow its continued use by local artists and fishermen. Congratulations to all the other winners.
